“I’ll write your company’s message with integrity.”

My writing style adapts to your company’s message and information. Many years of writing different genres prepared me for freelance writing. I breezed through writing school essays. Academic writing in college and graduate school brought challenges. Meeting those obstacles proved my versatility. Contact Me. Let’s chat .

Writing poetry while riding across the United States added a further dimension to the trip. A new interest confronted me after academia and poetry. A course from Institute of Children’s Literature taught me writing for eight to twelve years of age children.

Along the way, I wrote numerous amusing letters to friends and relatives, including a Christmas letter in newspaper stye. Although these annual letters took extra time during a busy season, I enjoyed the effort.

Teaching English, Music, and Reading to Kindergarten through Twelfth Grade and Adults provided many opportuntities for writing. Helping remedial reading students learn to read better by reading their own writing brought me pleasure seeing light blazing in their eyes as they “read” a piece they wrote.

“Teaching reading through writing uplifted my spirit in unexplainable ways!”

Choosing to become a teacher happpened by default. During the late fifties and early sixties, college educated women had two choices; teaching or nursing. Exceptions existed, but not for me. Dad taught Industrial Arts. Other teachers in our family also convinced me this career trumped nursing.

Deciding to freelance write after teaching thirty years made an easy transition. Many experiences with students to draw on, travelling, three marriages, and 62 years having Multiple Sclerosis held additional sources for writing.

Jon Morrow’s course on Guest Blogging started my path to freelancing. Finding Carol Tice and Make a Living Writing blog helped me know the task
